Cling to Me
Day 32 of Lenten Devotional Series
God, this Lent, help us to remember that storms don't last. Remind us that you are stronger than any gale threatening to blow us over. In fact, your trust was so certain that you fell asleep in the bottom of a boat while the waves and winds raged. You're still greater than any storm in our lives. Through the sound of the winds and the rush of the waters, help us hear your voice whispering, "Cling to me."

Cling To Me
Cling to me, the storm won’t
last,
though dark clouds linger low,
Though waves rise high, fierce
and fast,
And winds rage with an angry
blast
that seem to always blow.
But cling to me, the storm won’t
last.
Treetops sway in vengeful dance
as floods consume the budding
ground.
Rainfall drowns each flowering plant,
and streaks of blazing lightning
flash
as nature strikes with violent
sound.
But cling to me, the storm won’t
last.
The days of sunshine all seem
past.
No light shines from the sun or
moon.
Though peace seems void on earth
so vast,
hold on, stand close, remain
steadfast.
The winds and waves will be calm
soon.
Just cling to me, the storm won’t
last.
