I Give Up Life's Buildups

Day 27 of Lenten Devotional Series
Guest Post by Valisha Moore, Emmanuel Holiness Temple, Monticello, KY

Luke 6:45 A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.

I would change a lot of life choices. The saying that is often said, “If only I could turn back the hands of time, a lot of things would be different.” The different life effects that come and go out of our lives--those effects are stress, disappointments and so many regrets along the way. It's best at times to leave the thoughts behind because, if not, the different levels of anger that you allow to stay and build up seem to leave regrets. If I would allow my deep inner thoughts to override the thoughts at the surface, I would really think before speaking or reacting. No matter what my life's buildups are, they can be broken down. Change can come to anyone when you mediate on God and cleanse your temple, which is your body. You will be able to function in peace, brush off the buildups and move on with a glowing and refreshing spirit. I must remind myself that life's buildups are choices, the dos and don'ts, the response to anything that I would allow. Today I choose to let go and let God, to be free in my mind with a happy glow of real life realities.

Ephesians 4:26 In your anger do not sin, and do not let the sun go down on your wrath.
